It’s been a long time since my last post. Lots has happened in the interim, including a change of job that has (thankfully) reduced my travel schedule significantly.

Right now, though, I’m back on the road, or actually the airplane. I’m on my way to Lucerne, CH. It occurred to me that it’s been a while since I shared my thoughts with you, dear reader, so I’m now, like a leCarre character, coming in from the cold.

I’m resolved to more frequently sharing my thoughts and impressions here from now on. The most recent of these was actually a reminder…

About an hour ago, I was waiting with a colleague at platform 4 of the train station at Zurich airport. Our train was due at 7:43am. It glided down the track towards us wheels singing on the smooth steel. As it moved into view, the overhead clock (assured to be accurate, it is, after all, Swiss) ticked over from 7:42am to the next minute. Perfect timing.

I’m looking forward to this week, working with colleagues that i enjoy and respect, and to everything being exactly on time.

In Switzerland, the zeitgeist is literally a time ghost… Present everywhere.
